5 ways to serve PK Foods pakora - from quick snack to dinner party starter

9th April 2026

Pakora is one of those foods that works in almost any situation. Midweek movie night? Pakora. Impromptu Friday drinks? Pakora. Full Indian feast for twelve guests? Pakora is where you start.

At PK Foods, we hear from customers who order our pakora for all kinds of occasions - and we've noticed that a lot of people stick to one or two ways of serving them out of habit. So here are five ideas to get more out of your PK Foods order, whether it's a quiet night in or a proper spread for a crowd.

1. The ultimate game night platter

Football on the TV, a group of friends on the sofa, and a table covered in snacks. This is probably the most natural home for pakora.

For a game night platter, mix two or three varieties - our Large Chicken Pakora, the Bitesize Vegetable Pakora, and a few Meat Samosas work brilliantly together. Line them up on a wooden board alongside our Chilli Sauce and a couple of dipping pots.

The key is quantity. A 2kg bag of bitesize pakora comfortably feeds 6–8 people as a snack across a 90-minute match. Cook everything from frozen in the oven at 200°C for 15–18 minutes and it'll all be ready before kick-off.

Works best with:

Large Chicken Pakora with Tomato Chilli Dip

• Bitesize Vegetable Pakora

Meat Samosas

Chilli Sauce Bottles

2. The weeknight wrap

This one surprises people, but it's become one of our favourite quick midweek meals. Take four or five bitesize chicken pakora pieces, warm them through in the air fryer (180°C, 8 minutes), and load them into a flatbread or tortilla wrap.

Add some sliced cucumber, a handful of salad leaves, a spoonful of mango chutney, and a drizzle of our Chilli Sauce. You have a proper dinner in under 20 minutes, with almost no washing up.

It's the kind of thing that sounds like you've put effort in, even though the pakora did all the work from frozen.

Works best with:

Bitesize Chicken Pakora (50 pieces)

Chilli Sauce - Bottles or Cups

3. A proper Indian starter at home

If you're doing a full curry night at home, pakora is the obvious starter - but it's worth treating it like a restaurant would rather than just piling it on a plate.

Serve three or four varieties in small portions: a couple of pieces of our Chicken Tikka Pakora, an Onion Bhaji alongside our spiced tomato chilli dip, and a few Spiced Onions on the side. Arrange them on a slate or large serving board with small pots of raita and chutney.

The Spiced Onions in particular are underrated here - they add a sharp, vinegary contrast to the richness of the pakora batter that cuts through brilliantly between bites.

Works best with:

Chicken Tikka Pakora 2KG

Onion Bhaji with Tomato Chilli Dip

Spiced Onions

4. The sharing spread - feeding a crowd

Birthdays, garden parties, family gatherings - any occasion where you need to feed 20 people without standing at a cooker all day. Frozen pakora is genuinely one of the best solutions for large-group catering.

A combination of our 2kg bags covers a lot of ground. Two bags of Bitesize Chicken Pakora plus two bags of Bitesize Vegetable Pakora feeds 15–20 people generously as part of a sharing spread. Add a tray of Meat Samosas for variety.

Everything cooks simultaneously in a large oven - just spread across multiple trays. No timing stress, no complicated prep. The food arrives golden and hot, and nobody needs to know how little effort it took.

Works best with:

Bitesize Chicken Pakora - 2KG Bag

• Bitesize Vegetable Pakora - 2KG Bag

• Meat Samosas

• Chilli Sauce Bottles (for self-serve)

5. Indian-style haggis pakora for something different

If you've never tried our Haggis Pakora and you're feeling adventurous, this is the one to serve when you want to give guests something they genuinely haven't had before.

Cook the haggis pakora alongside a selection of the more familiar varieties - let people try them side by side. The haggis filling is earthy, peppery, and warming; wrapped in the spiced pakora batter it's something that takes a second to process and then immediately makes complete sense.

Our Haggis Pakora is made with 100% halal meat and is SALSA certified. It's one of the most genuinely Scottish-Indian things you can put on a table. Find it on our Haggis Pakora product page.

Tips for serving PK Foods pakora perfectly

• Always serve immediately after cooking - pakora loses its crispness quickly if left to sit.

• Air fryers give the crispest finish. Set to 180°C for 10–12 minutes from frozen.

• Don't overcrowd the oven tray - space allows the heat to circulate and the batter to crisp rather than steam.

• Warm your dipping sauces slightly before serving - cold chilli sauce straight from the fridge dulls the flavour.

• Spiced Onions make an underrated side. They cut through the richness of fried batter and refresh the palate between bites.
